WE WON THE NIGHT - BUT LOST THE COMPETITION . . Aww . . shuckeedarn ..

Last nite your MMM won the nite at Cowboys in the Springs but lost the Colorado competition to Sam Platts, http://www.myspace.com/samplattsandthelastrebels from Saratoga, Wyoming. Porter Waggoner are you listening? Thanks to all the people in the Springs who welcomed us and what we do best . .country rock the house! We especially would like to say thanks for the generous offers and super support from - one of the best venues anywhere .. the world famous Cowboys! , and, the really fine talent hosting the country showdown . .Willie and Val with Y96.9 “Today’s Best Country”. It was a pleasure to meet and hear all the performers at the show cause there were no losers, everyone was great. Like to say hi to some performers including Ashley Buchart from Pagosa Springs, Lonnie Gines, http://www.myspace.com/lonniegines, Gary Lear from Montrose, http://garylearmusic.com/, Angie Kenny from Grand Junction, Rich Owen, from Colorado Springs, http://www.myspace.com/richowen61, Danny Tramel, http://www.myspace.com/dannytylerben, from Colorado Springs and the good looking boys from Wyoming, Lew Vasquez & Joel Gothard, http://www.myspace.com/lewvasquez1, http://www.myspace.com/joelgothard. Dennis and his Silver Eagle Band that did all the backups for the individual performers .. you guys are not only a great bunch of professional musicians with a super sound but were a big part of the success of the show. Last but not least, thanks to Colgate Country Showdown event manager Paul Cowan for doing an outstanding job putting together an event like this and having it run seamlessly including the sound company which was top flight! Again, although we didn’t get the check, we feel we won the prize with our show and all the fantastic people that came over to witness the MaricopaMadman! We’re going back into the studio real soon to get out some of our new (you haven’t heard em yet! ) songs so keep an eye and ear out for their releases! Hint …they’re so hot, they’re gonna “Burn”

Aug 31st, 2008 -

Get ready to have some fun in the Springs ! .. Sept 6th the Colorado State finals for the Colgate Country Showdown will be held at Cowboys in Downtown Colorado Springs. MMM will be representing Denver Metro’s KYGO finals that were held July 30th at the Electric Cowboy in Westminster. Come on down for a good time and ride the mechanical bull. Check out Cowboy’s http://www.cowboyscs.com/ in the Springs while rooting on your home town favorite .. MMM. Cowboys is located at 25 N Tejon and you can get there by taking I-25 South to the Bijou St exit #142 and then going left (east) a few blocks to Tejon and turning right (south) to Cowboys. It’s only a short distance from I-25 and easy to get to so take a short drive and visit MMM in the Springs. Free MMM tee shirt and sticker to everyone that comes down to the show; subject to sizes, colors and availability . . they are limited so get on down for first pick! Yee haw !!

July 30th, 2008 -

Right on! your Maricopa Madman band showed some of it’s stuff and won the Denver area KYGO and Colgate Country Challenge! Thanks to KYGO and Colgate along with the Electric Cowboy Club and all the Judges who made the night a real kick in the ol bass, drum and guitar that is. On to Colorado Springs Sept 6th for the Statewide competition and your MMM will be hitting it hard for y’all’s the greatest!
